New Trustees Wanted for The Green Economics Institute Trust
The Green Economics Institute is currently looking for new trustees in 2018.

This is due to expansion of the Green Economics Institute Trust and its sucess in recent years.
Who are our Trustees?
Our Trustees are visionary people, who want to change the world but who are practical enough to be able to make it actually happen. We have an outstanding and stunning record of change making and implementation. We are looking for other visionary and practical people who want to make the world a better place and have the drive to achieve it. We attract some of the brightest and exciting minds on the planet. All Prospective Trustees must be paid up members of the Green Economics Institute Trust in order to be considered. Please note that all the Trustee roles are on a voluntary basis and will remain so.
We are currently recruiting the following
a) Trustees will need to provide 3 hours a week of time and work on a voluntary basis which can be done remotely from anywhere in the world.
b) Trustees must be or become paid up members of The Green Economics Institute Trust
c) Trustees must enjoy working as a team from anywhere in the world
Trustees will have specific voluntary individual management and implementation responsibilites: One of the following:
i) fund raising
iii) social networking
iv) conference and events coordination
v) books production or project management
iv) teaching and education management
v) planning and coordination
vi) volunteer recruitment and management
vi) Educational administration and in particular Tier 4 application management or short course management and or Erasumus Plus supervision
And Trustees will have specific voluntary individual subject and content related responsibilites: One of the following:
Each trustee in addition to the above administrative functions also will need to have experience or interest in the administration or project management of one of our campaign areas.
This will be in
a) social justice,
b) environmental justice or
c) reform of economics.
d) Climate Change. Our trustees tend also to go on our delegations to the UNFCC COP climate Change conferences from time to time and to run exhibition stalls where appropriate.
Our team members are from about 50 different nationalities and all ages and backgrounds and are all over the world.
Each trustee must
a) come to our main conferences once a year usually in the summer in person
b) plus 2 trustee meetings per year usually in January and June
c) quite a few go to the UNFCC COP Climate Conferences with us each year but this is by no means compulsory.
d) each trustee is required to deliver 1 lecture to our students once a year on a relevant subject of their choice.

We will ask for 1 months probation before our main conference which will take place on June 16th -18th 2018 in Oxford. The Trustees Board will meet regularly to decide which of the probationary voluntary trustees will be offered a place on the Trust in 2018.
On appointment new probationary trustees will be required to fill in a declaration and forms allowing consent to hold our information and that of our teams confidential and also copyright forms and a Health and Safety Forms etc. These forms may vary from time to time and will be held by our elected Trustee Secretary.
The Trustees decision will be final and will according to the needs of the Trust itself. All the positions are voluntary.
